A great evening of astronomical fun!
Join us in our Finca Astronomica for a bonfire, delicious meal with drinks and an astronomy session during which you’ll get to know the night sky, many amazing facts and stories and get to see the celestial objects via the telescopes.
We serve: grilled pork chops, potatoes from the fire, salad, bread, hummus and snacks like cookies or nut mix. That goes with wine, beer, cava and nonalcoholic refreshments.
The finca is located by La Aljorra, which is just 10 minutes drive from Cartagena, 30 minutes drive from Murcia, La Zenia, Camposol, 45 minutes drive from Torrevieja, a little over 1 hour from Santa Pola and an hour and a half from Alicante.If needed organized transport is available - just let us know.
During the astronomy part we explain objects visible with the naked eye and use astronomical laser to show you stars and constellations. We are also using optical and robotic telescope for observations of objects such as the Moon, planets, galaxies or nebulas and of course for some astrophotography. As the sky varies throughout the year, there are different observations every now and then. You can also choose a Moon or a non - Moon night.
The event is dedicated to all audiences so doesn’t matter whether you just start your adventure with astronomy or already are a pro, you’ll surely enjoy it! Activity is also great for kids any age.If you own a telescope and need a hand using it, bring it to the event!
In case of bad conditions that could have been predicted like rain heavy wind or very deep cloud cover, we do cancel the event in advance and move your reservation for other date that suits you best. On a rare occasion that the clouds could not have been predicted but come and obscure our sky, we have a special program prepared that includes open air movie viewing on an over 600” screen (astronomy dedicated) and work with apps and astrophotography taken on previous event so you still get to spend an amazing time and learn a few things about the Universe that surrounds us!
We speak English, Spanish and Polish. If you’re a bigger group and need translator - that can be arranged too!

Our activity is absolutely consistent with the regulations regarding Covid19 pandemic.
Throughout the whole experience the distance is maintained and the masks are worn. The astronomers use gel to make sure all the surfaces of the telescopes or cameras are properly disinfected after they were touched.
