Rules and Regulations for Behaviour at Finca Astronomica

Welcome to Finca Astronomica! Please take note of the following rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

Introduction:

Some animals, including cats and a German Shepherd dog (who serves as guardian and is very friendly with all our guests), roam freely on the Finca. Guests are encouraged to interact respectfully with these animals during their stay.

Some of our events are open to all guests, while others are for adults only. If you’re joining us for a family-friendly event, we encourage you to embrace the joyful chaos of children and their delightful antics!

1. Arrival and Leisure Time:

Guests must arrive on time to participate in scheduled activities. Leisure time at the beginning allows for relaxation and familiarization with the premises. Please arrive promptly within the first 15-20 minutes of the designated start time to avoid disrupting the program.

2. Supervision of Children:

Children must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times, ensuring they engage in activities responsibly and safely.
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their children behave appropriately and do not disturb other guests, hurt themselves or other children or animals, or damage the equipment provided.

3. Pool Usage:

Our pool is for relaxation purposes only; there is no jumping or disruptive behavior allowed.
No food or drinks are permitted in the pool area.
Before entering the pool, guests must wash off any sunscreen or lotions in the provided shower next to the pool.
The pool is accessible during leisure time, but it cannot be used during dinner or telescope observations for safety reasons.
Guests are responsible for their own safety as there is no lifeguard on duty.

4. Interaction with Animals:

Guests are welcome to interact respectfully with our animals.
Improper treatment of animals, including chasing, hurting, drowning, removing animals from nests, or separating baby animals from their mothers, is strictly prohibited. Animals are living beings and must be treated with care and respect.
Feeding animals is only permitted under specific instructions from staff.
Guests should refrain from entering enclosures without supervision.

5. Waste Disposal and Dining Areas:

Waste disposal and sorting are managed by staff.
Guests must dispose of waste in designated areas; please cooperate with staff to ensure proper waste segregation.
Eating is restricted to designated dining areas.

6. Special Dietary Needs:

Guests are responsible for ensuring they can consume the provided food. We do not have detailed information on allergens or specific dietary inclusions. It is the guest’s responsibility to inform us of any dietary needs or allergies during booking.
While we strive to accommodate last-minute requests, advanced notice ensures a seamless dining experience.

7. Safety and Sporting Equipment:

Guests are responsible for returning sporting equipment and toys to their designated storage areas after use. Proper care and respect for shared equipment are expected.
Safety must be maintained at all times, especially during activities like archery. Guests must follow safety instructions provided by staff.

8. Toilet Use and Waste Management:

Toilets should be used responsibly, with only toilet paper disposed of in the toilet.
Wet wipes, diapers, and feminine hygiene products must be disposed of in the bin provided, not in the toilet. Please help us maintain our eco-friendly sewage treatment system by adhering to this rule.

9. Alcohol and Outside Food:

Guests are not permitted to bring outside alcohol or food onto the premises.
Alcohol is provided as part of certain events and can be purchased at the bar.
The staff reserves the right to deny alcohol sales.
The staff reserves the right to escort drunk and misbehaving clients away from the premises if necessary.

10. Telescope Usage:

Telescopes are to be used under the guidance of our astronomers only. Unauthorized use may result in removal from the telescope area.
During observations no flash lights are allowed.
No food and drinks are permitted in the telescope area.

11. Bonfire Safety:

Guests must exercise caution around the bonfire.
Excessive wood should not be added, and guests should refrain from lighting sticks or other objects.

12. Glamping Pods and Yurts:

Accommodations must be kept clean, and no food or drinks (except water) are allowed inside to prevent pests and maintain cleanliness.

13. Electricity Usage:

Only low-consumption devices such as phone chargers and small fans are allowed to conserve energy. Please be mindful of our off-grid, sustainable energy system.

14. Dog Policy:

Dogs are allowed on the premises but must be kept on a leash at all times.
If a dog misbehaves, including aggressive behavior or disturbance to other guests, we reserve the right to ask the owner to leave without a refund.
If a dog is in heat, which causes disruptions or alters the behavior of other animals in the Finca, we reserve the right to ask the owner to leave without a refund
Dogs staying overnight in glamping pods or yurts must have a blanket provided by the owner to use as bedding. They are not allowed directly on any provided bedding or carpets within the accommodations.

15. Check-Out Procedure and Departure:

Guests must vacate accommodations by 11:00 am to allow for cleaning and preparation for subsequent events.
Please leave the premises clean and do not extend your stay beyond the designated check-out time.

16. Guest Area Restrictions:

Guests are not permitted to roam freely inside the Finca. Please respect designated areas and refrain from entering restricted zones.

17. Environmental Conservation:

Help us maintain our eco-friendly practices by conserving water and electricity. Use resources responsibly during your stay.

18. Smoking Policy:

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.

19. Fire Safety Guidelines:

Familiarize yourself with fire escape routes and safety procedures in case of emergency.

20. Photography and Social Media:

Respect the privacy of other guests and refrain from taking photos or videos without their permission. Be mindful when sharing content on social media.
Our staff may take photos for promotional purposes during your visit. If you do not wish to be included in photos shared on our social media or promotional materials, please inform us in advance. If we’re informed after the pictures have been shared, we will promptly remove them upon request.

21. Emergency Contact Information:

Keep emergency contact information handy in case of any unforeseen incidents or medical emergencies.

22. No Outside Visitors:

For security and safety reasons, outside visitors are not permitted on the premises without prior approval from management.

23. Nature Conservation:

Help us preserve the natural beauty of our surroundings by refraining from littering or damaging plants and wildlife.

24. Community Respect:

Be considerate of fellow guests and staff. Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
